Ming Tray for Alessi wins 2012 GOOD DESIGN Award

Ming Tray: Made by Alessi, designed by Zhang Ke / Standardarchitecture as part of the (Un)Forbidden City project. The design suggests Ming Dynasty Simplicity with straight lines on one side and subtle curves on the other – for serving anything from tea to sushi.
Founded in 1950, GOOD DESIGN Award is the world’s most prestigious, recognized, and oldest design awards program organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
